چکیده

The WHO classification of soft tissue tumours categorizes the lesions based on histological differentiation. In recent fifth edition (2020), many new entities have been introduced, their distinct biological behaviour, genetics and morphology. With advances better understanding molecular genetics, several novel recurrent genetic alterations incorporated in this edition. These may serve as reliable diagnostic prognostic markers for various tumours. Though predominantly a pathologist’s game; radiologists must be aware updates to contribute towards optimal diagnosis management imaging features not yet described but are expected explored coming years. We hereby present concise review tried emphasize surrogate immunohistochemical which brought paradigm shift diagnosis, therapeutics, prognosis also simplified algorithms characterize clinico-radiological features.

Malignant Soft Tissue Tumours

Introduction Tumours of soft tissue are mostly benign lesions of connective tissue in children. A number of aggressive malignant tumours that require multimodal therapy do occur, however, usually including surgical management. These malignant soft tissue sarcomas (STSs) are relatively rare in childhood, contributing approximately 5–8% of childhood malignancies (approximately 850–900 children an...
